Q'Straint Q-5000 Series

The Q-5000 is sold worldwide and each belt is double action adjustable to accommodate virtually every wheelchair design (including scooters): there is no need for a special system for special chairs.

Q-5000 patented systems are engineered as complete kits: every component is designed, engineered and tested to work with all of the other components to prevent passenger injury. The Q-5000 is sold worldwide and each belt is double action adjustable to accommodate virtually every wheelchair design (including scooters): there is no need for a special system for special chairs.

Easy and quick to use, the Q-5000 system is engineered to be "foolproof". Q-5000 can only be used one way... the right way, minimising the chance of human error. In Australia as in North America and most European countries, the occupant restraint (seat belt) is an integral part of the wheelchair restraint system. Correct restraint with correct belt angles keeps the wheelchair from loading onto the occupant on impact by preventing "submarining" of the wheelchair under the occupant. This provides the safest chair securement as tested in crash situations.

Lap belts are standard with all Q'Straints and optional shoulder belts are also available. Q'Straints famous interdependent rear tie down belt and lap belt hook-up is the key to the ultimate in restraint safety. This connection is positioned higher, close to the passenger's pelvic area and close to the point where back and seat meet. The lap belt attaches to the rear tie down belts and is adjustable to fit snugly like a typical car seat belt. The fixed location of the shoulder belt from occupant to side wall ensures consistent upper body restraint and guarantees "foolproof" operator hook-up time after time.

The Q-5000 series is available as either a pocket or track system.

Q'Straint 01

The Q-5001 pocket system includes flush mounted stainless steel floor pocket inserts, suitable for installation in most private vehicles.

Q'Straint Pocket Hardware

The Q'Straint Q-5001 T-track system is most used in commercial vehicles and uses the Q-5001 pocket system but in a "track" adapted format for safe accommodation of a variety of wheelchair.
