Headrests

Otto Bock offers a variety of polyurethane head and neck supports, in various sizes. Styles include the basic headrest pad, combination headrest, lateral control headrest, wedge-shaped neckrest and C-shaped neckrest as well as the new X-Style Support. Otto Bock headrest have a wide range of adjustment when attached to any of the range of Otto Bock headrest fixtures.

Headrest Mounting Hardware

Otto Bock’s removable headrest fixtures each accommodate any of the full range of headrest pads allowing for a variety of individualised options. Headrest fixtures are available in chrome or black, in single-axis or multiaxis, straight or offset styles. Headrest adaptor units are available to allow Otto Bock headrests to be used or trialled on most manual wheelchairs without need for a solid backrest and can be attached to any Otto Bock seating system, frame or standard wheelchair.

Trunk Supports

For comfortable lateral trunk and anterior support, look for Otto Bock side thoracic support (S.T.S.) pads. These adjustable pads include built-in contouring and individual adaptability. They are attached to the backframe of your wheelchair with fixtures sized according to the tube diameter.

Modular Hand Pads

Modular hand pads are available in a variety of styles to provide maximum comfort. These include simple extensor pads, horn shaped pads (mid supination) and cone-shaped pads (supination to neutral). These hand pads attach to the modular arm pads with simple screw fixtures and support. Strap Kits are also available.

Modular Channel Forearm Pads

Three sizes of channel forearm pads are available to coordinate with the hand pads available. A single-piece channel forearm and hand pad is also available.

Elevating Swivel Unit

Armrests can be elevated to 120 or 250 with the aid of the Otto Bock elevating swivel unit. The unit also enables the armrest to swivel freely or be moved to a location and locked in place. The unit also makes transfers easier since armrests and joysticks can be swung aside. An offset plate is also available for more flexibility in positioning.

Foot Buckets and Calf/Legrest Pads

For comfortable and safe support, foot buckets can be used with standard footrests. Consisting of a bucket shell and a soft, PU-foam cushion, the products are sold individually. Swing-away calf/legrest pads help aid in transfers. They are anatomically shaped to provide softly cushioned, comfortable support.
