Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week
By ordering posters and hanging them at your school or business, registering an event or making a donation during Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week from 3-9 August 2008, you will help support thousands of people with the most common physical disability in childhood.
Cerebral palsy is caused by damage to the developing brain before, during or after birth and currently there is no known cure. It already affects thousands of families and it is estimated another child is born with cerebral palsy every 18 hours in Australia.
The Cerebral Palsy League provides vital services and support including physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, and equipment and technology support to children and others with cerebral palsy each year.
By showing your support, you have help create capability from disability through awareness and inclusion.
