When your Friendship Bank is full, complete the registration form below indicating that you would like your tin emptied. We will  contact you to arrange a suitable time to visit, count your donation and leave you a tax deductible receipt. Your tin stays with you!

Testimonials

"My name is Marta Garcia de Blakeley and my family and I have the privilege of supporting CPL with our contribution through a Friendship Bank tin. I’d like to share with you all, a little story that makes me very proud. There are four of us at home: my husband Mark, my boys Peter (7) and Robert (4) and myself. Peter is in grade 3 and this year, as part of a school program, has taken up violin lessons. As you could imagine, practicing the violin can sometimes be challenging, especially when it’s compared to playing soccer or spy kids around the house. And listening to violin practice can also be a challenge! So we made a few changes to improve the task. I don’t say, “go and practice your violin” anymore. Now I invite Peter to “make music” for us. He really likes the idea of creating music for the family and I love the music when doing chores or fixing dinner! Every day when Peter makes music for the family, we pretend it is a private concert and pay him 20 cents per person for a ticket (if we have visitors, they all pay!). Payments are made in cash directly into the yellow Friendship Bank tin! Sometimes dad joins in with his trumpet and it is so much fun! We are so happy with the outcome. Peter now has a new purpose to make music for the enjoyment of the family and to raise money for our friends at CPL. Through this new approach he is learning so much more than music; he is learning to share, to care, to give and receive. And when we look beyond ourselves we discover wonders. Thank you for this opportunity you have given my family, to share, learn and grow!"

"I feel I must congratulate whoever came up with the idea of asking homeowners to accept the money box to be put in their homes. One gets so many phone calls asking for donations to different charities. If you decide to donate or buy tickets you have to write a cheque, post it, etc. This sometimes is not convenient which is why the money box in your lounge is SO convenient. You just have to put any loose change whenever you want to. You would be surprised how quickly the box fills. I am SO glad that I agreed to have the money box. Thank you! It is for such a worthy cause."
