John won the hearts of the nation when he became the first ever contestant to not ‘plate up’ for the judges for reasons of integrity. The 37-year-old won the respect of the nation that night and made it through. Although John exited the program later that month, he continues to explore his passion for cooking. John, also a keen winemaker, has worked tirelessly with various disability organisation around Australia to mentor and support young children with cerebral palsy and related disabilities.
