About the event Date: Sunday 29th July Time: 10am – 3pm Venue: Roma St Parklands Coming into its fourth year, Picnic in the Park presented by Treasury Casino is Queensland's biggest outdoor picnic and the Cerebral Palsy League's annual festival celebrating capability and diversity. This free-entry, fun family event is an opportunity for the community to celebrate the capability of people with a disability and raise awareness of (and funds for) the Cerebral Palsy League. It is the only event in south-east Queensland that is truly accessible and inclusive to all members of the community - regardless of their ability. The entire event - including the entertainment, rides and catering - has been designed to cater for the needs of people with, and without, disability. In 2012, the event will again be held at Roma Street Parkland. In addition to a lineup of tasty treats and gourmet foods, we will have arts and craft stalls, a live music stage and a full-scale entertainment precinct featuring barnyard baby animals, jumping castles, miniature train rides, laughing clowns and the Variety Liberty Swing. This event kicks-off Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week in Queensland. For volunteer opportunities please contact Natalie Searson on 07 3358 8008 or email nsearson@cplqld.org.au.
