CPL commences new research
May 19, 2011
CPL is asking young people aged 13 to 17 with cerebral palsy to participate in a new research project called CP-Participate.
CPL commenced CP-Participate to document real life experiences of young people and adults with Cerebral Palsy.
The aim of the research project is to understand how different environmental factors (like physical settings, other people’s attitudes, or policies and rules) affect young people’s experiences of independence and participation.
Participation in this research will help CPL:
-
Design new services for young people with cerebral palsy at home, in the community and in schools
-
Ask that any rules and regulations which may prevent participation be changed
-
Continue further research to improve the quality of life for young people with cerebral palsy
If you think you might be interested in participating in the research project, download the information sheet (below) which outlines all you need to know to take part. The adult survey and information sheet will be released in June 2011.
