You Are Not Alone
As parents who care for children with disabilities, authors Michelle Rhodes
and Tanya Dennis felt compelled to compile their thoughts and experiences to
help other families navigate their way through what can often be described as the
‘maze’ of disability services.
Their book ‘You are Not Alone - A Carer's Journey’ provides guidance and advice to parents and carers centred on a child’s early years, from birth to six years of age. They want to help families by:
- Sharing information about other parents’ and carers’ personal stories and experiences
- Providing information and advice on services and support
- Creating a website www.info4carers.com from which carers can download further information on resources and services
"We would like to give a special mention to our supporters the Cerebral Palsy League and Shine Lawyers for publishing, printing and distributing the book and helping make this possible." Michelle Rhodes and Tanya Dennis
