Inaugural nudieRun
Some of Queensland’s leading watersports athletes took to the water on Sunday for the inaugural Honda Jetski Shop.com “nudieRun” on the Gold Coast.
Launching from the Gold Coast Spit, the “nudieRun” jetski rally raised close to $3000 for the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland.
Prior to the rally, two young Gold Coast residents with a disability were given the ultimate experience of freedom when they took part in the first leg of the jetski rally.
The fundraiser is an initiative of Jetski Shop.com owner James Tod, who supports an ongoing fundraiser for the Cerebral Palsy League.
“James has shown outstanding support for the League. He’s spent many long hours organising this event and drumming up local support,” Cerebral Palsy League’s Brett Lucas said.
“This type generous support helps us continue to offer our current services that aim to improve the lives of Queenslanders with cerebral palsy.
“This includes 200 Gold Coast residents with a disability,” he said.
All funds raised benefit clients of the League, which provides services and support to some 2700 Queenslanders with cerebral palsy, which is the most common physical disability in Queensland children.
