Ride of their lives
Young Gold Coast children with a disability were given the most exhilarating ride of their lives when a new jetski fundraiser program was launched on the Gold Coast on Tuesday, 11 March 2008.
Young Gold Coast residents with cerebral palsy, five-year-old Karim and five-year-old Annika experienced the speed and freedom of these jetskis as a part of the “Out and About” program that aims to improve confidence and help promote community access for children and families with a disability.
The ride also signified the launch of a vital new fundraiser supporting the League, which provides services and support to some 200 Gold Coast residents.
The fundraiser is an initiative of Gold Coast local and Honda Jetskishop.com owner James Tod, who will donate proceeds from jetski sales and services when customers mention the Cerebral Palsy League.
James is also in the process of planning a major fundraising jetski rally, scheduled for mid 2008, to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy League.
