We provide support to assist people with disabilities to be active members of their chosen communities and to work towards desired levels of independence by identifying and achieving their personal interests and goals.
Centre-based Day Services
Our centre-based day services provide additional and essential daytime support for individuals in their communities. We provide personal programs so clients can fulfil their passions, participate in their communities and express their creativity. The activities offered vary between day service centres as they’re based on individuals’ choices and interests. They include (but are not limited to):
- Sailing
- Fishing
- Gardening
- Swimming
- Bowling
- Art programs
- Music programs
- Jewellery making
- TAFE support
- Computer access
- Internet access, email access, social networking, etc
- Photography
- Cooking
- Horse riding
- Card making
Community Access
This service supports people to access local community activities and facilities such as social groups, libraries and general community services. This service is personal and individualised, based on each person’s needs, interests and goals.
Independent Living Training
Our independent living training service provides support to people who want to gain skills and confidence in a range of activities, which will allow them greater independence and control in their day-to-day lives. Training is available on topics such as:
- Use of communication aids and devices
- Financial or household management
- Use of an electric wheelchair
- Shopping
- Using public transport
Enhancing Support in Aged Care
Our enhancing support in aged care (ESIAC) program aims to enhance quality of life for younger people living in aged care facilities. We offer one-on-one residential-based support including therapy, aids and equipment and community access activities. This includes:
- Participation in arts programs
- Attending movies
- Visiting museums
- Going to concerts
- Reconnecting with family and friends
