CPL's State Client Consultative Committee (CCC) was established in 1993 to ensure clients were consulted and their needs were being addressed. The State CCC, which meets every six weeks, brings together clients from across Queensland to share experiences and information, and to contribute clients' perspective into decision making by our Board of Directors and the overall management and direction of CPL.
Clients on the State CCC are elected from their respective regional CCCs and also include representatives from our business initiatives. Regional CCCs provide representation of clients from services in their relevant regional areas, and we encourage all clients to become involved in their regional CCC. These committees meet regularly to consult with regional managers and participate in:
- Decision making about CPL service issues
- The provision of more substantial basis for representation to the State CCC
- Collaboratively working with regional managers and staff to influence the future direction of CPL services
A Youth CCC was also recently established to ensure the voices of our younger clients are heard and their needs are met.
