PME - Dukki Tilting Shower Commode
A tilting shower and toilet chair for children aged 2-14 years. Playful and contemporary design with soft round form provides both security and comfort. Specialised design features and large range of positioning options ensures appropriate positioning for every child.
The shape of the Dukki seat was developed after thorough research. The seat offers comfort and relaxation which can be further increased by the addition of a foam rubber cushion. The seat can be easily tilted to any angle through the extensive range from -5 to +60 degrees. The abduction block (to keep the legs separated), the armrest and the footrest provide additional options for properly supporting the child. A locking system engages the armrest into the abduction block, ensuring safe and secure positioning at all times. Positioning can be further optimised where necessary by the addition pelvic, chest and foot straps and various models of headrest.
The Dukki is available in four sizes, ensuring that the right fit can always be achieved. Since every child has a different build, each size of seat can be equipped with two different sizes of abduction block and armrests. By use of the cushion, the measurements of the seat can be further adapted to fit the shape of the particular child. The shape of the cushion encourages a correctly centred and stable sitting position over the urine outlet.
As a toilet chair is used many times a day, easy operation is of vital importance. The armrest and abduction block can be removed simultaneously for easy transfers. The tilting angle of the seat and the position of the headrest can be adjusted without the use of any tools. The footrest can also be continuously adjusted for height throughout the available range by the use of a special tool hidden in the lock-pin of the footrest. The Dukkki can also be quickly dismantled into its constituent parts for easy transport or storage.
Thanks to the removable armrests and abduction block, access to the child when washing and toileting is easy. The Dukki’s smooth rounded form ensures that there are no accidental scrapes or injuries when the child has no clothing protection.
The standard version of the Dukki consists of a tilting chassis with a seat and footrest.
