Salary Packaging
CPL, through its status as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), can offer to permanent staff the opportunity to receive a component of their salary tax free. This is referred to as Salary Packaging. This tax free sum is utilised to pay expenses nominated by the staff member.
Staff can package up to a maximum of $16,050 per annum and have that paid into whatever bills they choose on a fortnightly basis: home loan, rental, credit card, personal loans, electricity, telephone, council rates, school fees – virtually anything you receive a receipt for (apart from investments).
CPL has a Salary Packaging Coordinator who can answer any queries on salary packaging on commencement or prior to employment with the organisation.
